In recent years, stone has become the protagonist of numerous emblematic contemporary works and has significantly influenced the thinking of designers and the evolution of current architectural languages. The introduction of sophisticated processing technologies has also enabled sustainable application as well as helping to promote new levels of expression.
The exhibition Soul of City explores possible visions of contemporary cities through stone. This research project into the use of natural stone interprets the topic of the 2017 UIA which took place in Seoul. Seven international design studies combined with Italian companies in the natural stone sector take up the challenge of this material from an architectural point of view in order to represent their ideas for cities.
