Marble Interiors presents a selection of ten projects in which marble and natural stone become the absolute protagonists of space, technique and the language of surfaces. From often-overlooked historical masterpieces to contemporary and previously unseen works, the exhibition explores a wide range of figurative compositions through the ancient art of stone floor inlay, highlighting the aesthetic, material and technological qualities of stone.
Ten interior projects are presented through a combination of photographs, drawings and reconstructed fragments and inlays made with physical marble samples, creating a new visual language that bridges materiality and technique.
The exhibition aims to demonstrate how marble can play an active and innovative role in shaping architectural language.
This room, defined by its decorated floor, is transformed into a material library of marbles and processing techniques through the juxtaposition and integration of stone elements of different shapes and colours. Together, they create patterns that are both technical and decorative.
The result is an original system of representation that catalogues a wide range of stone-working processes, including cutting and shaping, laser engraving and graphic treatments, texturing, polishing and honing, brushing, flaming, acid etching, patination, and advanced deep and three-dimensional modelling techniques.
