Antonio Aricò is an Italian artist, designer and creative director. After earning two degrees from the Politecnico di Milano, he completed his Master's with a thesis exploring the relationship between design and tradition, bringing together the worlds of art, craftsmanship and design. These principles, combined with the poetics of contemporary culture, form the foundation of his interdisciplinary practice. He is widely recognised as a pioneer of a distinctive approach that places craftsmanship and independent production alongside industrial design.

Based in Italy, Aricò works as a creative consultant. Over the past decade, together with his team and family, he has developed products and creative concepts for international companies, private collectors and cultural institutions.

Rooted in a humanistic vision, Aricò's creative approach brings a sense of humanity to the technical world of design, creating a reality in which designers, craftspeople and users all feel welcomed and connected. With every new project, he approaches design through themes of romance, imagination and archetypes rather than focusing solely on functionality. From product and interior design to creative direction, Antonio Aricò collaborates with internationally renowned clients, building each project on mutual respect and close collaboration. Through sketches, 3D modelling and expertise in conceptual design, Aricò creates emotionally engaging works ranging from furniture, products and bespoke designs to private residences, curatorial projects, artistic direction and beyond. The Cave Michelangelo group, led by Franco Barattini and his sons, promotes Carrara as a centre for marble extraction and sculpture through the “Studi d’Arte Cave Michelangelo” project.

The sculpture workshop specialises in the creation of stone artworks, with expertise in reproducing classical statuary and producing monumental works by contemporary artists. The workshop is renowned internationally for its contribution to contemporary art, further strengthening Carrara’s role as an artistic centre through the work of Franco Barattini.

It also undertakes commissioned projects, overseeing the entire process from the creation of the artwork through to its installation.
