The Future Skin
Description
The Future Skin is a talk designed as a strategic platform to understand how the cladding and facade supply chain will need to evolve in the era of offsite construction. Key insights from ADI initiatives reveal a crucial concept: offsite is where Architecture and Industrial Design converge, shifting value from the construction site to the industrial product.
What will the skin of offsite architecture look like? For decades, the materials industry asked architecture: "How do you want to use my product?" Offsite flips this paradigm. Today, materials must meet strict technical requirements: modularity, prefabrication, speed of installation, maintenance, carbon footprint, and circularity.
