Stone: Timeless Architecture brings together seven international architectural practices that have interpreted marble not simply as a building material, but as a genuine means of architectural expression.

Although they come from different geographical and cultural backgrounds, the selected architects share a distinctive sensitivity to materials and a profound understanding of marble’s strength, versatility and symbolic value. In their work, marble does more than clad a building: it helps define its character. It shapes volumes, articulates surfaces, modulates light and establishes a deep connection with the landscape and the identity of each place.

Each project offers a different interpretation of this ancient material. Marble can appear solid and monumental, or light and almost immaterial; it can be polished, sculpted, engraved or allowed to express itself through its natural veining. In every instance, the material becomes an essential part of the architectural concept, demonstrating how memory and experimentation, tradition and contemporaneity can coexist.
