Mosaic can be far more than a surface fi nish: it is a true architectural language capable of shaping space through material, light, and texture. This presentation examines the role of mosaic in contemporary architectural design, exploring the relationship between traditional craftsmanship, technical innovation, and design research. Through case studies and built examples, it considers how mosaic is used as a design tool to define surfaces, articulate architectural identity, and contribute to spaces designed for long-term performance and durability.
