The Plus Theatre
STONELAND PHOTOGRAPHIC EXHIBITION BY PLATFORM
Ever since ancient times, natural stone has always played a fundamental role in a great many contexts, especially architecture. Thanks to numerous testimonies handed down to us across history, it is evident that natural stone is a timeless material of astonishing beauty, a protagonist in ancient and modern times alike
Through a photo gallery dedicated to 15 contemporary projects created by international architectural firms, the Stoneland exhibition – curated by Platform Architecture & Design and staged in The Plus Theatre in Hall 10 – seeks to testify that despite the passing of centuries and the evolution of society, mankind has never forgotten this important material that continues to play a vital role in our lives. The architects engaged for these 15 projects will attend Marmomac on the stage of The Plus Theatre to talk about their approach to natural stone in architecture.

123DV
Netherlands
123DV is founded by Liong Lie in 1999 in Rotterdam, The Netherlands with the goal to create a sense of home in a modern villa. Its international team of passionate architects, interior designers and engineers has designed and realized more than 60 high end private modern villas in The Netherlands and abroad. 123DV Modern Villas focuses on both architecture and interior. From product design to realization. Their disciplines include architecture and interior design – from kitchens to furniture. A modern villa, in their opinion, does not only consist of the outside. It is precisely the connection between the inner and outer world that is important. Because people’s identity is key for the design, every project is an exciting journey. The designs include a minimalist high end Villa in the Dutch forest, a luxury holiday villa in Marbella, Spain surrounded by water, a modern villa in Tehran, Iran on a mountain slope.
