MARMOMACC LOOKS TO THE FUTURE WITH THE DEBUT OF ITS NEW LOGO ON 2 OCTOBER
Verona, 28 September 2016 – Marmomacc, Veronafiere's international marble, design and technology exhibition, is looking to the future and is set to launch its new communication branding from trademark to corporate image. The presentation of the new marketing and rebranding strategy took place today during the inauguration of the 51st edition which will bring together more than 1,650 exhibitors from 53 countries at Veronafiere until Sunday 1 October.
The breadth and scope of the trade sector represented, from products through to technologies and design; the international status of the event that goes far beyond the annual show thanks to ceaseless promotional activities in major target countries highlighting a strategic Made in Italy sector even for other industrial operations, together with commitment to university training, are the reasons that prompted this re-definition of Marmomacc's image and communication: the new brand will make its debut on Sunday 2 October. Yet this change by no means forgets the show's specific identity and maintains a stylized form as a sign of continuity with the past. Innovations include the insertion of a graphic mark "+" between "Marmo" and "Mac" to highlight all the more that the Marmomacc exhibition represents a multi-faceted industry embracing business realities flanked by other in-depth analytical topics.

VENETO MARBLE: EXPORTS UP BY +4.8% IN SIX MONTHS
NEW B2B PROJECT INVOLVING VERONAFIERE AND THE VENETO REGION
Verona, 28 September 2016 – The Veneto Region in the first six months of 2016 continued to drive Italian marble and granite exports: from January to June, more than 800 companies in the region exported manufactured stone products worth 264.6 million euros, posting 4.8% growth over the same period last year.
This positive result particularly stands out when compared to the national average (stable at +0.6%) which - on a provincial scale places the Verona Marble and Natural Stone District once again in a position of leadership in Italy, with exports totalling 215.8 million euros.
The Veneto was once again in the forefront at the Verona Exhibition Centre on the inaugural day for Marmomacc, the most important international event dedicated to the natural stone field (28 September-1 October). For the first time, Veronafiere and Veneto Region – through Veneto Promozione – have developed an incoming project focusing on foreign buyers targeted for exhibitors from the Veneto area producing marble and processing technologies. This initiative was greeted this morning by Federico Caner, the Councillor for Foreign Trade of the Veneto Region. The introduction dealing with "The natural stone universe in the Veneto Region" sees the onset of two days of meetings with international operators from the United States, Russia, Nigeria, Malaysia, Singapore, Belgium and Denmark.
